👋 Hi, I’m Xiaowo!

I’ve been keeping hamsters for 4 years. I started as a complete beginner who knew nothing, and now I have 3 hamsters to care for 😂

🐹 My Hamsters

• Pudding — My first hamster, a golden chonky little one who loves cuddles and naps in my hands
• Snowball — A silver fox hamster, fluffy and white, a running wheel fanatic who can cover several kilometers every night
• Big Orange — A Syrian hamster, the biggest of the three, gentle and adorable when eating

Each hamster has its own personality, and keeping them is truly fascinating!

😅 Mistakes I’ve Made

Looking back, some mistakes still make me nervous… When I first got Pudding:

• I didn’t know hamsters can’t cohabit, and almost put two together (fortunately I researched it in time)
• I fed raisins once, and later learned the sugar content was too high to give frequently
• I didn’t pay attention to warmth in winter, and Pudding almost went into pseudo-hibernation. I even got up in the middle of the night to warm her up
• I bought brightly colored bedding at first, and later realized it’s harmful to hamsters
• The cage was too small at first, and Pudding kept chewing on the bars until I switched to a larger cage

Just thinking about these mistakes still scares me… That’s why I really want to share these experiences so new hamster owners can avoid the same pitfalls!
